What’s New in the Mars Bank Mobile App
What’s New! Tells You About New Features
When you update the Mars Bank app (as prompted by the app or by the app store), the next time you open the app you’ll see a What’s New screen. This screen will explain all the new features in the app and other online tools.
What’s New Feature Screen
When you login to the mobile app you may see a new screen. The “What’s New” screen will open whenever there is new functionality or a change to the app.
New Touch ID Functionality
The first “What’s New” feature you may see is Touch ID, now available for smart devices with fingerprint identification functionality.
Touch ID Support
When you enable Touch ID in the app, you can quickly access mobile banking using any fingerprint registered on the mobile device. Touch ID is enabled on the More menu. If no fingerprints are registered on the device, you will be instructed to set up at least one fingerprint on the device to enable Touch ID. Once Touch ID is enabled, users are automatically prompted for a fingerprint when the app is launched. For security reasons, the app requires users to fully authenticate with their password transactions that move funds (transfer money, pay bills, pay a person, etc.). This two-phase authentication uses the current security standards for money movement transactions. A password is only requested once in a single user session.
End User Terms & Conditions Updates
During initial login after the app update, users are notified of the updates to the Touch ID terms and conditions.
